American Conduit offers a wide range of electrical conduit pipe sizes to meet all of your needs. Contractors, construction managers, engineers and other professionals turn to us on a regular basis, because they know our aluminum conduit is durable, reliable and affordable. We have 35-plus years of experience manufacturing electrical metallic tubing as well as rigid aluminum conduit, and a nationwide network of distributors and manufacturers.

Whatever You Need, We’ll Have It

Electrical Conduit Pipe SizesOur EMT (electrical metallic tubing) comes in diameters ranging from ½ inch to 4 inches, while our RMC (rigid metallic conduit) is available in diameters from ½ inch to 6 inches. We also offer a wide range of lengths.

What really makes us the go-to source for our many clients, however, is the fact that we have about a million pounds of conduit on hand each and every day. How is this possible? The reason we have such a massive inventory is that we’re part of the undisputed global leader in aluminum extrusion, Hydro. Thanks to this relationship, we’ll always have plenty of products to meet your needs. Thanks to our massive distribution network, we’ll be able to get that conduit to you fast.

If you want the perfect installation, you can pair our conduit with elbows and couplings – which we also have on hand. Our couplings and elbows are also available in a wide variety of sizes.

Aluminum – The Superior Conduit Material

We’ve had a lot of skeptics turn into clients over the years. They were skeptical that aluminum conduit could hold up as well as steel. But we convinced them of the superiority of aluminum, and they’ve been clients ever since – in some cases, for decades.

There are many, many areas where aluminum outperforms steel. Here are just a few to keep in mind.

  • Aluminum is not only thinner than steel, it also weighs 30 percent less. You can cover a lot more distance using the same amount, which will save you a lot of money. You’ll also save on materials, as well as labor. The typical 10-foot length of steel conduit weighs 98 pounds. The same length of aluminum only weighs 34 pounds. You’d typically need two workers to install steel conduit, but only one for aluminum. Clients commonly save tens of thousands of dollars – and, in some cases, hundreds of thousands of dollars – by switching to steel.
  • You also won’t have nearly as many safety concerns with aluminum as you do with steel. If you have a volatile environment, you’re rolling the dice every time you install steel conduit. The main reason is that steel emits sparks. Aluminum, on the other hand, doesn’t. As a result, you can use it wherever you like with absolutely no risks involved.
  • Durability is yet another area in which aluminum clearly beats steel. Thanks to a natural aluminum oxide coating, aluminum conduit doesn’t rust. Unless steel has a special – and expensive – coating, it will degrade over time. You can use aluminum with confidence, even in applications where a great deal of moisture and chemicals exist.
